mark5mark5 is a DJ and event promoter based in the northeastern US. Hardcore has been running through his veins since he discovered Dune through the help of the Internet and mp3's in 1995. By 1999, he had discovered the UK hardcore sound and became a bedroom DJ. In 2004, he made his live performance break in the northeastern US's anime convention circuit. To this day, mark5 still serves up hardcore for several anime conventions each year. 2005 brought him his break into the New England underground music scene, which he loves dearly. In 2008, He founded the Hard Hitters crew to help re-establish hardcore's popularity in New England with the ultimate goal being the prevalance of hardcore events in the New England underground scene. mark5's style ranges from playful to badass to sinful. His setup of choice is a pair of Tech12's and a pair of 1000's on a four-channel mixer to present a bold, if not gutsy, mixing style. He is constantly working for the betterment of hardcore and thinking of new ideas, so be on the look-out for forthcoming developments from this state-side hardcore mofo.
